Please don’t blame child’s mother for death of #Harambe

Please do NOT blame those poor parents for the killing of Harambe. My husband, who is 71, ended up in a hippo cage at the zoo when he was four. There were no parents as diligent as my in-laws. They had a one-year-old at the time who they must have had to help him at that moment. Maybe the answer is that kids under six need to wear kid-leashes even though I wince when I see kids wearing them. I’m sure all of us have memories of one of our children getting away from us, the terror until you find them. And in this case, the terror when the mother did find her son and watching him being dragged by the Silverback.
