I still can’t believe that I attended the PBR Professional Bull Riders show tonight at Madison Square Garden. (Forgive me Peta friends.) Watching the top thirty-five bull riders try to remain on the 2,000 pound fierce, bucking, and sometimes air bourn bulls for eight seconds was so scary that I bit my cuticles, something I stopped doing when I was five. You had to see these 150 pound guys—their spines whipping around as they tried to keep their balance, their heads only inches from the bull’s hooves once they were tossed. “OMG, that’s somebody’s son,” I’d say, all the while knowing that that was true of the bulls as well.
