How I ended Up dancing at a Yankee Game on Diamond Vision While 40,000 people watched and cheered!
Last year, when I was at a Yankee game with a bunch of friends, we began dancing at half time and they were hollering and hooting for me, which attracted the cameraman. He filmed me and I ended up a comic favorite. Over the next year, at almost every game, there I was on the diamond screen, dancing. I’d get a call from a friend at a game.
“Hey, are you here?”
“No.”
“Well, I see you on the diamond vision screen, carrying on and dancing.”
People stopped me in the street. “Are you the woman who was dancing at the Yankee game?”
This June, on our annual family outing to a Yankee game which began ten years when my daughter met my future son-in-law and my son, single then, came with a friend, a cameraman came up to us. My husband had written the Yankees a letter explaining that we’ve come each year to the game with our family. Both our son and daughter are married now and between them, we have four grandchildren. My husband asked if they could show the clip of me dancing as a surprise to our family. He got a letter saying that they were going to run it. They even said that they would interview me. Who knew that the cameraman was going to ask me to dance for the audience and that 40,000 people would be cheering and clapping as I boogied. (My kids hid under their seats.)
