GREEN-WOOD CEMETERY in Brooklyn.
You know what they say about Eat, Drink, and be Merry? Well, today I went off to Green-Wood Cemetery where Harriet Beecher Stowe, Boss Tweed, Leonard Bernstein, and other famous people associated with Brooklyn are interred.
Oh, the architecture of the mausoleums, the tombstones, the beauty of the grounds with its ponds, the glassed-in buildings that display shelves of funerary urns along with couches where you can sit and contemplate the fish swimming in the pond, the sky seen through cherry trees.
I sat in a chapel with a stained glass clerestory and prayed for world peace. (Hope the spirits heard me.)

Always thought about going there, but never made it. I think there are tours.

Spectacular! And, thank you for your prayers. We certainly can use them in our neck of the woods right now. Happy Holidays! Love, Vicki B.

Yes, spectacular! I am re-thinking my own plan of being roasted and thrown into the ocean. 🙂 Happy holidays, Vicki. Love, Rochelle.
