EMPTY MIRROR, a gorgeous literary website always looking for new work
http://www.emptymirrorbooks.com/
This is a site where you’d be honored to publish your work. The graphics, the art work, the poems, essays, and stories knock your literary socks off.
Established in 2000 as a bookselling site specializing in collectible Beat Generation and small press poetry books, over the past decade, EM has morphed into an online arts magazine. In early 2012, we re-launched the revitalized site in a fresh format.
We still love the Beats and poetry, but also have expanded the conversation to other types of literature, film, music, and art.
The editor
Denise is the founder and editor of Empty Mirror. She also designed, writes for, and maintains the site.
Usually, Empty Mirror is a one-woman operation; Denise works on it when time allows.
Her day job is owner of Quanta, where she builds websites for writers (including some of the Beats), other creative people and small businesses. Quanta also offers social media, SEO and web hosting services.
For over thirty years, Denise has been an enthusiastic reader & serious collector of Beat Generation & small-press poetry books, and a lover of the arts.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, Denise edited and published Quicksilver / Quartermoon Press, The Lithic Review / Preshistoric Press, and the Quicksilver Broadside Series.
Where we are
Empty Mirror is based in the state of Washington’s northwest corner, just south of the Canadian border. Denise works out of a second-floor office; deer often roam the yard just outside her window.
