CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS due June 30th
June Cotner is happy to announce that Andrews McMeel will be publishing SOAR! Words of Inspiration for Graduates in Spring 2014.
The purpose of SOAR! is to provide inspirational wisdom, motivational quotes, and positive reminders for students who are graduating from any school such as high school, college, graduate school, or any specialized school such as nursing school.
In addition, about one-third of the selections will have a spiritual emphasis, which is a quality that will distinguish SOAR! from many other books for graduates.
The following are my working chapters: (1) New Directions (2) Choices (3) Dreams (4) Perseverance (5) Excellence (6) Reflections (7) Inspiration (8) Daily Thoughts (9) Success Boosters.
Generally poems less than 24 lines (equal to one page in my books) and prose pieces less than 375 words (equal to two pages) work best in my books.
Submissions deadline for SOAR!: June 30, 2013.
You are welcome to email no more than three submissions, each as a separate Word document and all inside one email message. If your submissions are exactly what I’m seeking, you will be invited to submit more.
All submissions must be double-spaced in Times New Roman 12 with all of your contact info single-spaced on the upper left corner.
Use SOAR! as your subject line followed by your last name.

You will only receive a response (along with a permission form) if your submission is given final acceptance for the book.
For those submitting via USPS, you will receive a response if you enclose an SASE along with your submissions. Please mail submissions to June Cotner, PO Box 2765, Poulsbo, WA 98370.
Payment is $25 plus one copy of the book for each published selection for non-exclusive rights. You retain all rights. Reprints are okay as long as you still hold all rights.
