This is a photo of my dad probably taken in the 1920s. How amazing for me to see him having a moment of leisure. When I knew him, he stood behind the counter of his grocery store fourteen hours a day, six-and-a-half days a week.

Rochelle, though it has been many years since I last saw your parents, I know how hard they worked. My Dad had the same hours in his store until he retired in 1993. I have been reading some of your beautiful poems. I also remember your Grandmother. Sending best Wishes.
